Hattie So much has happened in the past few months both personally and professionally that I feel a lot more positive than I did in the brain fog at the end of last year. I am noticing the power in asking for what I need, speaking my mind and taking the horrific step to end people-pleasing tendencies. All that’s happening feels quite metaphysical! In reality, I’ve been going to the sauna lots, cycling around south London and getting back into portrait painting! What I’m currently reading: Monsters: What Do We Do with Great Art by Bad People?

An example of how the title of a book can grab you! I found this book in the Rijksmuseum shop with my mum when we were in Amsterdam a few weeks ago. So far it is riveting. I can’t wait to speak about it more on a pod episode soon… Favourite concert/event of the month The opera Codes that I saw as part of Dutch National Opera’s ‘Opera Forward Festival’. It was the most incredible fusion of movement and music. The choreography was brave, tremendously clean and pure genius. Becca Well life hasn’t exactly gotten any quieter, but I have started my therapy placements and that feels like a big milestone. I’m learning so much from working with clients 1-on-1, and my organisational/slotting skills have gone through the roof! Because of this hyper-jam packed schedule though, I’ve been grappling with having to make some commitment U-turns and ‘let people down’, which has felt really quite difficult. This month I’m looking forward to having my own show for the first time ever, so do pop in if you’re in Soho at 9:15pm over April! What I’m currently reading I was mildly enjoying Brené Brown’s Daring Greatly but I’ve put it aside for now to start on Minority Rule by Ash Sarkar, which so far has been stunningly good. Favourite concert/event of the month Unusually for me, I’ve been to several gigs this month! My favourite was definitely seeing Orla Gartland last night as an early birthday present from Stu, but I also got to see the phenomenal Peter Evans at the Vortex earlier in the month.
